My name is Jon Fletcher and this is my ‘Airborne’ dog Otto. Otto is a husky X and a rescue dog.

We run endurance races and have so far raised over £6,500 for various military charities over the past year (£4,500 for Help for Heroes and £2,500 for Combat Stress). This year our chosen charity is the Parachute Regiment official charity. Being a former Paratrooper when I found out about the charities existence there was only one charity I would now support full time.

The races we run are not normal marathons they are called ‘Ultra Marathons’ and they are in mountains, requiring endurance and stamina to which Otto runs them for fun!!!

Otto is also the only official dog to have completed the Parachute Regiment selection 10 mile endurance march with a medal presented to him by BBC1 presenter Matt Baker (The one show).

• 11th September 2011, 10 Mile Endurance March, PARAS 10
• 1st October 2011, 30 Mile Ultra Marathon, Black Mountains, Wales
• 3rd December 2011, 40 Mile, Ultra Marathon, Brecon Beacons, Wales
• 10th March 2012, 50 Mile, Ultra Marathon, Hay-on-Wye
• 6th June 2012, 44 Mile, Ultra Marathon, Normandy, France – Pegasus Bridge
• 21st July 2012, 50 Mile, Ultra Marathon, Lake District
• 5th August 2012,Trophee des Montagnes – 120km event, French Alps
• 15th August 2012, Tour de Mont Blanc – 112 miles around Mont Blanc
