Turner & Townsend Celebrate Museum MilestoneOn 11 February, Turner & Townsend celebrated the completion of the construction work on the new £72 million Museum of Liverpool at a fundraising dinner held in the Museum’s gallery spaces overlooking the city’s famous Three Graces and the River Mersey. Prof Phil Redmond, National Museums of Liverpool chair and famous television producer, hosted the glamourous dinner to mark the significant milestone in the completion of the Museum. Turner & Townsend has played a pivotal role in facilitating the development of the new Museum by providing cost consultancy and contract administration services on the project, which is the largest museum to be built in Britain in more than a decade. With the construction work complete, the internal fit-out begins this week to transform the building into Liverpool’s largest museum showcasing the history of this vibrant city and its people. The Museum is due to be open in Spring 2011. < Back to latest news |
