Maximising the economic benefit of offshore wind to UK PLC Event

By Mersey Maritime

Brought to IFB2016 in Association with Dong Energy

When: 21 June 2016
Where: Mexico/Brazil Suite, Exhibition Centre
Starts at 10:00am
Ends at 12:00pm

What to expect

In Amber Rudd’s speech last November, she committed to an additional 10GW of offshore wind by 2030 if the Government’s cost reduction criteria can be met. This debate will consider how best the 10GW can be brought forward so that it maximises the benefit to UK PLC.

The panel discussion will consider the following questions:

How can auction rules help to drive costs down?
How can we deepen the existing supply chain and make current UK facilities world leading centres of innovation?
What is needed to get new investment in UK supply chain?
What is the export potential?
How can we increase the UK content of our wind farms?
