Mersey Maritime is a fast-growing organisation with ever-increasing influence at regional, national and international level.
With an annual GDP contribution to the Liverpool city region economy of £4bn, the sector we represent needs a strong voice to make sure its interests are taken seriously at a the highest levels.
We are providing that voice and in order to continue to make ourselves heard we need the continued support and commitment of our members.
Mersey Maritime has a fantastically diverse membership base, from innovative engineering firms such as Accu-right and Star International to educational partners including the School of Tropical Medicine and Hugh Baird College, and of course not forgetting the large operators such as Peel Ports, Bibby Group and Cammell Laird.
As part of the next stage of our growth and evolution we are forming a new Members Board that will provide an extra channel for you to help shape the future direction of Mersey Maritime.
Chief Executive Chris Shirling-Rooke, said: “This will be a forum, held quarterly and chaired by a board member, where members can talk about the challenges and opportunities of operating in the maritime sector and feed in ideas on how we can work for the benefit of us all.
We want our members to feel they all have a stake in Mersey Maritime and can all have a say in the future direction of their organisation.”
