What Events Do We Run?

Face 2 Face:
Our monthly members forum takes place on the first Tuesday of every month with breakfast networking, keynote presentation and opportunites for new members to introduce their business.

Members Forums:
A quarterly event to bring members round the table to discuss key issues or to disseminate best practice and the latest news/updates.

Business Briefings:
Key business engagement events held with maritime dignitaries and politicians to give members the opportunitiy to join Mersey Maritime in articulating local problems, burning issues or lobbying.   

Chairmans Dinner:
An intimate quarterly dinner hosted by Mersey Maritime for our Executive and Platinum members.

Annual Maritime Awards:
Our annual awards evening celebrating the success of local companies and organisations and the individuals who drive their growth.

Mersey Maritime Membership

Mersey Maritime merged with the Maritime and Engineering College North West (formerly known as the Laird Foundation) in 2007 and now offers an enhanced range of services, encompassing the college offer, from Group offices in Birkenhead.  Membership of Mersey Maritime is open to all maritime sector and directly associated businesses, as well as to public sector partners, trade associations and related charitable organisations.

Guaranteed access to Mersey Maritime’s business development team to provide information, advice and routes into funding and reduced rate business services.

Training And Education
Access to subsidised training including development of industry-specific packages.

Business Networking Events

Mersey Maritime runs regular events which give our members the chance to meet the decision makers of other maritime related businesses, local and national business leaders and network at a variety of business and social events.

Lobbying Support
Ability to contribute to and influence policy-making decisions in local, regional, national and EU government on issues affecting individual companies and/or the wider maritime industry.

Sector Events and Exhibitions
Priority notification and invitation to industry conferences and networking events, either free or at reduced rates.

An invitation to attend Mersey Maritime’s industry-specific briefing sessions and forums, and hear at first hand about latest developments and new initiatives in the maritime sector and its associated sub sectors on Merseyside (ie Distribution & Logistics, Engineering and Manufacturing); while using the opportunity to meet and build business relationships.

PR & Marketing Support
Includes preferential listing in Mersey Maritime’s website Business Directory, with click-through links to your own website, thereby enhancing your company’s internet presence and visibility.

Use Of Conference And Meeting Rooms
A choice of superbly equipped meeting rooms within Mersey Maritime Group’s offices in Birkenhead. Suitable for conferences of up to 100 delegates, workshops and training sessions, or one-to-one meetings with clients or suppliers. All at specially discounted members’ rates.
