EUREKA FOR URICA
Managing cash flow is one of the biggest headaches for SMEs, so services that can help with this – such as the supply chain payments platform provided by Mersey Maritime member URICA – can make a huge difference. A Lloyds Bank report in Oct 2016 showed the average value of outstanding invoices for businesses in the North West topping £100,000 and 33% of firms cited late payments as the biggest cause of cashflow problems. With that in mind we’d like to point you towards SCFi, the new Supply Chain Funding index from URICA in conjunction with YouGov.  SCFi measures the condition of the supply chain, based on perceptions of how strong the chain is and the stresses on invoice payments, from people who really know: UK business owners. So, for the first time, it is possible to get a tangible feel for the health and efficiency of supply chains and how slow payments affects suppliers in the chain. You can download the report here. For SMEs who find the report echoes their own experiences and challenges and who would like to know more about how URICA could help, please contact dedicated expert Tina Lobondi, the principal point of contact at URICA for Mersey Maritime members: tina.lobondi@urica.com/ 0203 870 8472. www.urica.com
