Venue: Mersey Maritime, Maritime Knowledge Hub, CH41 9HX
Mersey Maritime has been working to complete the Maritime Knowledge Hub, a brand new Wirral-based facility for innovation, research & development, created by the maritime industry for the maritime industry. Part of the hub’s direction over the coming years is the continued support and development of the Engineering Sector with a proposed, purpose-built, maritime manufacturing campus on the Wirral. In line with this we invited Mersey Maritime Members to an informal meeting at the Hub, to discuss what they wanted to see the new facility provide. The Hub has been created purely for the benefit of the Industry, so the input of businesses operating in this region is invaluable.
We invited the Manufacturing Technology Centre to come up from Coventry to listen to your thoughts, and feed back to the Maritime team and at Liverpool John Moores University, our partners in the project. Clients specifically explored the technical skills they may need over the coming years, the tooling and machinery that would really make a difference to the growth of their business, and any other support that is essential to their organisation’s development.
This event was also a great opportunity for the Mersey Maritime team show member’s around the new Maritime Knowledge Hub and some of the amazing simulators we have here, as part of the Liverpool John Moores partnership.
